About these terms
These terms govern your use of PlayMVP, a competitive ladder for Call of Duty players. By creating an account, posting a match, joining a team or using any part of PlayMVP, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use PlayMVP.
Who can use PlayMVP
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate details when you sign up, including a valid email address and a real in-game / Activision ID.
- One account per person. Multi-accounting, account sharing or letting someone else play on your account to influence a result is not allowed.
- PlayMVP is for personal, non-commercial competition. You may not scrape, resell or build a product on top of the arena without written permission.
Your account and playercard
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done while signed in to your account.
- Your username, avatar, platform, region, in-game ID, bio and social links are public. Do not put anything in your playercard that you do not want other players to see.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile, then Danger zone. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Matches, results and disputes
PlayMVP runs ladders, matches and teams. The rules for each title and format are set out on the Rules page and apply to every match you post or accept.
- When you post or accept a match you confirm the line-up is accurate and that every listed player is eligible to compete.
- Results are reported through the match room with a screenshot as evidence. Submitted evidence is stored privately and only shared with the moderators reviewing it.
- Disputes are resolved by moderators and admins. Their decision on a result, penalty or removal is final.
- Cheating, exploiting, match fixing, smurfing or submitting a false result can lead to a loss, an XP reset, a Pro Points reset or a ban from the arena.
XP, Pro Points and ladders
- XP is awarded for wins and removed for losses at the rates set out on the Rules page, and can never drop below the league floor.
- Pro Points are a separate seasonal ranking for eligible titles and may be reset by an admin where a result is overturned or a rule is broken.
- Rankings, streaks and badges are earned through play and have no cash value.
Teams, scrims and messages
- Team leaders are responsible for their roster and for accepting or declining match requests on behalf of the team.
- Direct messages and match room chat must stay within the community rules. Harassment, hate, threats or sharing another player’s private details can lead to a ban.
- We may moderate, hide or remove content that breaks the rules, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.
Shop, memberships and refunds
- Digital perks such as MVP membership and Double XP are described on the Shop page. They grant the entitlements shown there for the period stated.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details.
- Digital purchases are generally non-refundable once the entitlement has been applied, except where your legal right to a refund applies, for example under UK consumer law for faulty or mis-described goods.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, exploit, hack or use any unauthorised software to gain an advantage.
- Abuse, harass or threaten other players, moderators or staff, in matches, messages, forums or your playercard.
- Share another player’s personal or contact details without their consent.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer PlayMVP, its backend functions or its integrations.
- Use the arena for anything illegal in the UK or the country you play from.
Content you post
You keep the rights to anything you post, such as your avatar, bio, forum threads and messages, but you grant PlayMVP a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display and use that content to run the arena and resolve disputes.
You confirm that anything you post does not infringe anyone else’s rights and is not illegal. We can remove content that breaks these terms.
Our role and responsibility
PlayMVP is provided as-is for competitive fun. We work hard to keep matches fair and the ladders accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free play or a particular ranking outcome.
- We may change, pause or stop any title, format, feature, ladder or the whole arena at any time, and we may update these terms when we do.
- To the extent the law allows, our liability for loss arising from your use of PlayMVP is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months, and we are not liable for indirect or loss-of-income damages.
- UK consumer rights and the rights given by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we update this page, and for significant changes we tell you in the app before they take effect. Carrying on using PlayMVP after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Closing an account
You can close your account at any time. We can also suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or to protect the integrity of the ladders. On closure your playercard and private messages are erased and your competitive records are anonymised, as set out in our privacy policy.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that we cannot sort out together will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer with a right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
